Getting my sparkle back

If you haven't heard of the term "getting my sparkle back", I'll explain it to you. We all know the feeling of being satisfied and content with, well life! It is the best thing. Yeah we all have hard days, but it is when you start to lose your funky and fun personality that you lose your sparkle.
I mentioned to my boyfriend a while ago that I miss my sparkle. It is like being lost being a smile. Honestly, I missed the little kid feeling. Having a million best friend, enough energy to do 4 sports, and just being me because I had no care in the world. The outside world (social media) I swear has the goal of tearing that down. Everyone else is telling us what to feel, eat, buy, who to be friends with and more. We need to be more aware of this more than ever. One thing that I notice about myself is that I am super aware, but that doesn't mean it happen to me. I just know it does which sucks.
After BIG12s I finally had time to get my life back together and refocus. The thing that helped was to stop caring about people who don't matter. This wasn't just my friends but also social media. the freaking toll that people I don't even know takes on me is ridiculous. So I did a little detox of those things that don't make me feel like me.
I found that I love laying out in the sun, hanging out with my family, talking to new people, driving with the windows down, reading scriptures while eating breakfast, eating good food, drinking out of my yeti, waking up early to run/workout, window shopping, reading, coloring, and listening to music
I know I won't always have time for these things, but if they make me happy it is important to make time for at least a few every day. I never feel better about who I am and I am so happy. They give me energy and personality.
I hope you all take time to sit down and reflect on what makes you sparkle. We are all meant to be different so make sure its important to you that nothing dims your beautiful sparkle.
